Letter from the owner

On behalf of the BHY team, Wes and myself ~ we can’t thank you enough for sticking with us and supporting us during this challenge. From putting money into our business or simply reaching out to check on our family and staff members has been incredibly heartwarming. This has been (and will continue to be) by far the most challenging time for us personally and professionally. We have an incredibly deep financial hole to climb out of for the next few years, but we are grateful for the opportunity to climb as our hearts go out to those business who didn’t get that chance. We will be offering a public display of our gratitude on every studio’s store front with the names of every single person, client, teacher, staff and online shopper and family member who has supported us through this historical lapse in time!
We know what the power of yoga has done for us, for our teachers, for our clients, and will continue to do for our community. It can only make us stronger, more patient, gracious and resilient. After all, as the old yoga saying goes, “Yoga practice will heal your broken body, fix your screw loose mind, and find your lost soul.”

*if you would not like your name included on our store front display for any reason please email beyoutifulhotyoga@gmail.com and we will honor your privacy.

SPOKANE UPDATE:
PHASE 2 FOR WASHINGTON
As many of you have heard, Spokane County has entered Phase 2. We are very thrilled for the opportunity to open our studios, but are also aware and concerned that a limited capacity limits our overall opportunity. We will be opening up registration to the general public next week.
* Class sizes will limited for phase 2.
* Pre-registration required
* $20 no show fee. No exceptions
* Limit one visit per day to ensure equal opportunity to practice
* Phase 3: we will increase our capacity and still ensure we maintain 6 foot spacing.

WENATCHEE UPDATE:
PHASE 1 FOR WASHINGTON
Wes and are so incredibly blessed for those of you supporting us from afar. What a challenge and opportunity we are all facing right now. Please know that we are doing everything our power ensure BHY Wenatchee thrives again and we can open our doors to the wonderful community we know and love, familiar faces, co-workers, family members and ultimately our tribe. *We will be putting together an outdoor (and possibly indoor) class schedule soon!
Current Dates:
Phase 2: June 1
Phase 3: June 22

I’m constantly learning and trying to keep each County’s protocols in order. What a nightmare that has been! Many differences as we also play the waiting game on the Chelan County to be approved for Phase 2.
Chelan County was however been approved to apply for a variance to open early. Chelan County has sent in their application on May 13th.

What does this mean for Chelan County and BHY?
When we enter phase 2, we will be able to offer outdoor classes of up to 5 people. It is still unclear if we may have indoor classes with groups up to 5. From the variance proposal I have read, it doesn’t look like that will happen until phase 3. But let’s stay hopeful! Things have been changing so fast already. We will be opening our doors as soon as we are given the green light!!!!

If inclined, please see the attached application variance from the County Commissioner.

Realistically we are looking at phase 3 for in-studio classes. Please stay hopeful. I know it can be discouraging to see other locations/County’s open. We will be continuing to offer live stream classes on our private FB members group and will be live streaming some of our regular classes sending love and yoga to you all. The Wenatchee community is strong and can and will pull through. Our community has more value in times like this than ever.

KIDS YOGA STUDIO UPDATE:
Being a business owner may result in a lot of reward. But with reward comes a great deal of risk. Sadly we have lost the battle with this studio. This space was very dear to my heart. The memories of family connections made will be cherished for years to come. If you have any unused punches, please contact homegrownkidsyoga@gmail.com for options. We are so very sorry and heartbroken.

END ON AN UPSWING, MIMI:
I was fortunate enough to take a yoga class from a Coeur d’Alene instructor Jennifer Mikaloff last week and she said something quite profound. “As tough as this has been, we as yogi’s have been preparing for this.”
AND IT’S SO TRUE! We have been practicing on our mat to withstand hardship, challenges and adversity. And here we are, needing more than ever to show up for ourselves at our best and with grace in unforeseen moments like this.

Much love and gratitude to all and please continue to support all of your favorite small businesses. They need you.

Namaste,
Mimi
