Experience a dynamic yoga practice based on many of the postures that make up the Primary Series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.  The class ends with inspiration from the Yoga Sutras.

Exploring Pranayama

Skillful breathing is the foundation of a good yoga practice.  Pranayama prepares the body, nervous system, and mind for one-pointed concentration.  Learn techniques to help you calm your mind and improve your breathing.

Understanding Back Bends 

Every yoga practitioner can benefit from deepening their understanding of back bends.  Learn how to bringsafe, enjoyable back bending into your practice with awareness in proper body alignment, breathing and gaze points.  

Bio 

Shelley Enlow is a passionate and devoted practitioner of asana and pranayama since 1995.  She has maintained a committed Ashtanga yoga practice in the lineage of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois through her teacher, David Garrigues, for the past 20 years.  Shelley sharesthe rich tradition of Ashtanga yoga with her local students and teaches workshops in the US and Canada. As a teacher, her goal is to inspire and assist others in building the skills to develop a strong and meaningful personal yoga practice and teaches in a way that facilitates growth, independence and play.
